About the Teacher

Welcome to 4th grade! It is my pleasure to be your math, science, and social studies teacher this year. I grew up in Mobile, AL and am a product of Mobile County Public Schools. This is my third year teaching 4th grade at John Will Elementary School. I received my bachelors degree from Southern University and A&M College in Elementary Education; and my master's degree in Education from Faulkner University. I am a member of Kappa Delta Pi International Education Honors Society and the National Council for Teachers of Mathematics. I am an intern in the NASA MURAP program and a TQRP fellow through Thurgood Marshall College Fund. I am the 2019-2020 Teacher of the Year for John Will Elementary School. I am the co-founder of Girl Code STEM Organization along with Ms. Nicole Walker.

I believe that all students can learn, with support and motivation from their family, the school, and teachers. It is my desire to be an inspiration and a model to each of my students. The future of the world are scholars in my classroom!
